WASHINGTON, Jan 20 (Reuters) – Amazon.com Inc’s (AMZN.O) cloud providers division claimed Friday it ideas to invest an additional $35 billion by 2040 to grow information facilities in Virginia.
Amazon Website Solutions (AWS) reported the new investment decision will make 1,000 careers. Virginia Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin mentioned AWS will establish numerous knowledge centre campuses throughout Virginia.
In 2021, AWS stated from 2011 to 2020 it had invested $35 billion in information facilities found in northern Virginia and had 3,500 total time workforce at its facts facilities in the condition.
