yellow jackets has found his grown-up Lottie in Obi Wan Kenobi Simone Kessell, who joined the cast of the show’s second season.

The New Zealand actress is set to star in an older version of the character, and the villain? – played by Courtney Eaton in the first season (via Variety).

Set in two different timelines, Showtime’s teen survival drama follows a New Jersey high school football team whose plane crashes on the way to a national tournament. In the desert, the girls and their trainer must fend for themselves, while supernatural events and conflicts risk dividing the group.

In the present, viewers were able to meet the adult versions of four characters, played by Melanie Lynskey (Shauna), Christina Ricci (Misty), Juliette Lewis (Natalie), and Tawny Cypress (Taissa).

As the events unfold, jumping from one timeline to another, it is hinted that Lottie is the mastermind threatening the adult survivors. In the past, the increasingly unhinged character is also revealed to be the Antler Queen, a mysterious figure who is in charge of a cannibalistic ritual in the first episode.

It looks like the second season will give way to a bit of a high school showdown, as another adult character is set to return.

Along with Kessel, ServerLauren Ambrose’s Lauren Ambrose has been cast as the adult Van, whose teenage version is played by Santa Clarita Dietby Liv Hewson.

While the second season is guaranteed to have a lot on its plate, fans had better be patient as the new installment won’t air before next year. Earlier this month, co-creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson explained that production will begin soon with a prospective early 2023 release date in mind.

“It’s a deeply serialized story, and we wanted to make sure we didn’t rush it and get it right. And this was as soon as we could get it done,” Lyle said.
