She-Hulk Boss Teases Daredevil’s New Side Ahead Of MCU Return

After his crowd-pleasing cameo in Spider-Man: No Way HomeCharlie Cox’s Daredevil will make his long-awaited return to the MCU in She-Hulk: Lawyer.

Nevertheless, she-hulk Boss Kat Coiro has teased a more “playful” side to Daredevil on the show that fans might not have expected.

In an exclusive interview with digital spyCoiro, who directed six of the show’s nine episodes and also serves as executive producer, hinted at this new version of Matt Murdock.

“I can definitely joke with you, but I can’t say anything! There are a lot of surprises,” Coiro said. “Daredevil, you know, I think we’re going to see a more playful side of him than ever before.”

Cox played Daredevil in three acclaimed seasons of the Netflix show before the series was cancelled. The character then returned as Peter Parker’s lawyer in last year’s film. Spider-Man: No Way Homeofficially introducing Matt Murdock to the MCU for the first time.

It was later confirmed that he would be reprising his role as Daredevil in two upcoming MCU shows, She Hulk, Y Echothe spin-off show centered on Alaqua Cox’s character, María López, who first appeared on Hawk Eye.

However, Cox’s involvement in the MCU is not limited to supporting roles and cameos. Marvel had previously announced that Cox would headline her own Disney+ show in an 18-episode series titled daredevil: Born Again, with Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as the Kingpin.

This time around, the reboot won’t involve the Netflix show’s creative team, which season one showrunner Steven DeKnight described as “bittersweet.”

She-Hulk: Lawyer will air from August 18 Disney+.
