Steam just updated its stats page with Billboard-style best-seller charts

The Steam Top 100 page no longer exists. That old utilitarian list of Steam’s most popular games by number of concurrent players has been replaced with a deeper and more engaging set of rankings. (opens in a new tab). You can still see which games the most people are currently playing, but now you can also sort games by their daily number of unique players and how much money they’re making.

Steam’s new stats page is called “Steam Charts”, which could lead to some confusion, as there is already a useful website called Steam Charts (www.steamcharts.com (opens in a new tab)) which uses the Steam API to provide more complete concurrent player data than what Steam displays. Steam Charts is still a useful website, I use it all the time, but it will be harder to distinguish it from Valve’s official stats page in Google search results. This is life!
