SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (KRON) — A girl died immediately after her Tesla crashed into a pool in San Rafael on Saturday early morning, according to the California Freeway Patrol in Marin.
All around 7 am, a female was driving alone in her Tesla, heading west on Place San Pedro Street, when the car someway traveled off of the roadway, in accordance to CHP. The Tesla crashed into a pool outdoors of a home.
CHP says she was not donning a seatbelt at the time. Law enforcement have not mentioned if Tesla’s autopilot feature was operating throughout the time of the crash.
San Rafael Law enforcement and San Rafael Hearth Office had been very first to arrive on the scene, and the driver was pronounced dead, in accordance to CHP. The incident has given that been cleared, though some crews may nonetheless be cleansing up on scene.
