Tesla 'spontaneously' catches fire on California freeway, officials say

A Tesla Design S “spontaneously” burst into flames Saturday afternoon in California although driving on a freeway, officials explained.

The Tesla’s battery compartment caught fireplace just ahead of 4 pm in the eastbound lanes of Freeway 50 near Sacramento, Metro Hearth of Sacramento claimed.

Fireplace officers said the car or truck was touring “freeway speeds” when the sudden combustion occurred and that “practically nothing strange” occurred prior to the hearth.

The Tesla was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene, in accordance to the section.
